Lying in bed

Crying softly

Thinking of despair

Blinking tears away

A voice in her head

A heart filled with dread

Memories spoken

Soul so broken

Sold like a slave

Cold like a wretch

Impure in the past

Unsure of the future

For peace she yearns

For solace she burns

Nowhere to turn

To the search she returns
