This story came to me a few days ago when I was lamenting to a friend of my RJ who is a American history teacher, telling him that it bothered me that Tad never got to live his life and that he was cut down in the middle of his prime. The boy was showing true promise. There is even known fact that he fancied a girl in Chicago. RJ informed me through email that when Tad was 15 he took a girl named Mary Boonies to parties and skating but RJ is not certain weathe it was a friendship or something more. And I chose the name 'Sara' as it is the name of one of my cousins and the fact that Tad's mother's name was Mary Todd, his sister -in- law was Mary Harlan, and his niece was Mary Todd "Mamie." I have enjoyed writing it so far and continue to enjoy it. I have enjoyed researching Tad's lfe as well as that of his father.
