wrote this in high school in the 80's. Probably the closest I ever got to actual poetry.

The hero is the man who can save himself from doom,

while abandoned in the cruelest ordeal.

The hero plays it right, when he's in a tight spot, can find room.

Now, the villain is the man who hums the evil tune,

while he contemplates the goods he can steal;

The hero is the man who can save himself from doom.

Crime-fighters in the midst where evil always looms,

self-less sacrifice the highest appeal.

The hero plays it right, when he's in a tight spot, can find room.

A candidate could be one who keeps his life in tune,

and who thinks of how the other guy feels.

The hero is the man who can save himself from doom.

Yet, the villain's the extreme who's life's of sin and gloom,

'cause he plans another sinister deal.

The hero plays it right, when he's in a tight spot, can find room.

The hero and the villain will coincide soon,

battle with a hatred stamped without a safety seal.

The hero is the man who can save himself from doom,

the hero plays it right, when he's in a tight spot, can find room.
