There was a sadwhinonamed Craaig:
His self-pity had started to beg.
"Why me?" he would chant.
"Their fault!" he did rant.
But they're slippery -- that sperm and that egg.

absolutely loved this piece... well done!
Thanks. If I have time I will remove the lymerick warning -- perhaps I'll get more reads/comments. I think lymericks are an underrated form, but (in English) every bit as capable of distilling thought as the haiku. I'm glad you read it and commented. I haven't thought about this one in a while -- to busy for self-pity.
Hey, I really like it, I really didn't see that last line coming. When you read the word 'sperm' unexpectedly it kind of smacks you in the face =p
Thanks, November. Your blow-up doll was a little shocking as well. I think Lymericks are meant to shock. Shocking can be good.
silly sily craaig, don't ever whine
u should always rise and shine
for there is life in work
that u should not shirk
for a cat has only lives nine
WHOA! lol. ;-)
Oops. I had to go to the poem page to look at the form of your response and wound up leaving my response there. Oh well nobody's purrfect. Please see below . . .
Thanks bubbly. Good advice -- not always taken.
Your feet aren't so long after all.
