"Time Must Move On" Song

Miscellaneous by: Crazyguy

Summary

Here is a song I wrote, the best by far I think. But what about all of you? I wrote this in 20 minutes! Brand new! It's a slow rock song, really sad, but I think it's great! It actually ain't that sad, it's just life.:) My favorite to play and sing. This song just came too me.

Time Must Move On
Husband and wife, been married for some years
Oh they loved each other, they loved each other dear
They have one kid, her name sue
Only at the age of 2
Husband and wife knew how lucky they were
They knew the strong love that they share
On fathers day the wife went out
To get the husband something, that he would like a lot
Wife came home, it was at night
Coming around a bend, it was foggy, little sight
She saw headlights in her lane
It was a head on at the end of the day
But time must move on, but time must move on
Husband holding the baby at home
Looking forward to the sight of his wife
It got late, around 1 am
He got worried and got in the car
He drove up the road a bit
He found a smashed guard rail and pieces to a car
He got worried he felt his heart drop
He slammed on the brakes, looked down the hill
He saw a two cars flipped over, smashed to hell
He scrambled down the hill to find out
Knew it was his wife’s car, knew what this was about
Pulled out his wife, crying out tears
And his wife quietly whispered in his ear
“I love you, I’m sure you know
Honey I love you, I love you so
Don’t worry, please don’t cry those tears
I’ll see you in a few years”
But time must move on, but time must move on
Husband grabbed his cell phone
Called 911, told them bottom of the hill
Ten minutes later Ambulance and cops
Arrived and rushed down to help what they saw
Husband hysterical, holding his wife
Not knowing she had already died
But time, must move on, but time, must move on, oh yes time, must move on(carry) Yes time, must move on
Husband didn’t get much sleep that night
Held his baby girl all so tight
He knew his heart had been scared
He remembered the sight of the car
So time moved on, yes time, had now moved on
80 years old lying in his bed
His little girl, and her two kids
Hugging him, not wanting him to go
He had cancer, they all know
His girl was crying not wanting him to go(carry)
He pulled her over and whispered in her ear
“Honey I love you, I’m sure you already know
Honey I love you, I love you so
Don’t worry, please don’t cry those tears
I’ll see you in a few years”
So time had now moved on(carry), yes now time, had finally moved on (carry out)
