THE POEM IS ABOUT A GUY WHO HAS BEEN WILLING TO EXPRESS HIS FEELINGS TO A GIRL, BUT IS NOT OPPORTUNED TO DO SO BECAUSE THE GIRL ALWAYS ESCAPES HIS PRESENCE. HE MEETS HER ONE DAY AND THEN ASKES HER FOR JUST FIVE MINUTES.

Hey you pretty little lady;
Do you have a minute of your time for me?
I want to finalize what I have been telling you,
And just five minutes will do.

I am not a hawk, but I’ve found a pretty little prey.
You are not a prey; I don’t intend to let you go away.
I will never have my dose
Of you, or ever have without finishing my work, a pause.
I like to talk to you in prose,
Handing you a red rose, my Rose.

I am very sure that my love
For you is blessed from above,
So I will be honored to be close
To you at the foot of the cross,
On the glorious day the heavenly host will sing,
While on you pretty finger, I’ll delicately put a ring.

I know that you know that you love me
And yielding to my demand will make us live happily.
So please no hard feelings, and no tears girl,
For I will do my best to treat you well.
