Freedom is so close. Yet so far away.

I open my eyes to see the light so far away.

I try to grasp it, but I can't.

Instead I'm consumed by darkness.

Faces all around me, screaming in pain and agony.

It's so painful to watch, yet I can't look away.

Something is there, calling my name over and over again.

Who is it? Who's there? I'm here! Can you hear me?!

I push pass the darkness to see a hand reaching for me.

I'm scared. Why am I scared? I don't know.

It tells me to ignore my fears, and reach out for the light.

This is it. This is what I've been waiting for.

I reach out, grabbing the soft hands before me.

But something is wrong. I open my eyes.

I see darkness all around me.

Once again, I'm here. Trapped in my own misery. Wanting to be free.

Only dreaming to be free.
