This poem relates to sin, as well as God's unquestionable forgiveness. I reflect on what I have done, and feel shame. But I am truly sorry for what I did, so when I ask for forgiveness, it is granted! I am like the eagle who looses it's feathers once a year but grows new ones, somewhat born again. With my new feathers I can fly again, I am baptized in the water and am now forgiven. My actions have not been forgotten, but they are forgiven, and now I am even stronger.

A moment of reflection

Has lightened my dull complexion,

And allowed me to see the once molting eagle

Flying overhead.

I leave the water.
