A star blazed silently over barren land, shadows cast over crumbling sand.

Purple lightning pierced the western sky, blinding not a single eye.

Waves pounded black dirt beaches, filling no ears with its deafening roar.

A gentle wind played through what was left of yesterday's sorrows.

The zephyr drew mutating designs among the collection of dust left by time immortal.

Somewhere the remains of the last structure collapsed into oblivion,

Only to join it's slumbering comrades in their world of sand.

Silence covered the land, for lack of ears to perceive.

Time passed not slowly, not quickly, but only as time without measurement can.

Seconds became decades and decades, eons.

Light to darkness to light, what difference if there was no one to see?

A mighty hand had ravaged this land, turning buildings to sand,

Troubled strife had stamped out life.

Winds, rains, and seas beat the face of the world.

Mountains formed and mountains washed away.

Evidence of this world's past were erased and reformed time and again.

Into this voided and forgotten world appeared a brilliant form,

Moving swiftly and silently across the face of the dark and lifeless waters,

Over the firmament, through ageless mountains, round and round this spinning orb,

It remembered this, a fertile land, and with that thought it raised it's hand...
