Their uncaring faces all echo in my emptied head.

The slight, shallow panic at my offense is shrugged off at my departure.

I'm sixteen and hormonal in an unaccepting world.

Every problem has an overpaid doctor to diagnose the situation.

Their patients claim they've been saved.

A laugh at their expense: the government has silenced them.

No one is listening to me. No one can even hear me.

Their ears like zombies, brains fried from the daily meds.

Their hearts can't identify happiness but can milk despair.

Who cares? Nobody cares. Nobody gives a damn.

The world has been lost to the rich who are set in their ways.

The sociopaths who skip the news to save some green.

Green! The colour of Earth friendly. The colour of money.

The answer of that's the way it is can't be true.

It just can't be true.

We've crossed the border. How thin a border.

Beyond it is unforgiveness and numbness.

We're out of savings reach. We're done for.

But no one gives a damn.

And nobody can hear me.
