The sun was just feet away from touching the crystal aqua water.
I waded out quickly which caused some sand to stir up from the ocean floor.
I reached a comfortable spot where the waves would have gone over my head if I didn't let them raise me.
I watched as the water grew darker around me.
The crystal aqua color turned to a light indigo.
The sun was just inches away as the waves shook my body, as if in anticipation also.
Then, as the sun reached the horizon ever so slightly, the waves calmed.
It was only for a second, but what a beautiful moment it was.
The sun started sinking into the water, turning the sky a melon pink.
Once the sky was completely pink and a good three-fourths of the sun was underwater, I ducked under.
It took a minute for my eyes to adjust to the salt, but eventually I could see.
I sat myself into the mushy sand and got ready for the bright red frieworks.
The scarlet sun was half under and the half circle of fire was burning the water.
I imagined the salt evaporating under the water from the heat.
Then the show truley began.
The black outline of sea turtles and fish began to swim across the ball of fire.
They were rimmed with orange halos and dark rays.
The kelp and sea weed at the bottom of the sand stood in contrast as well.
