awkward romance

The lies he creates fire like a gun

Wounding me with each hit I have taken

Although he tells me I can’t run

I’ve started for the door barely awaken

Standing near me the liar in the glass

Stares right through me looking pale and shattered

Glancing quickly I think about our past

Summer nights you kissed me soft I’m flattered

Winter nights you held me close to your soul

Autumn months of holding hands we fell down

We once counted ourselves as a single whole

But she’s the reason for your gloomy frown

His face, holding no expression at all

The lies you told influenced your crash and fall
