Not really sure what this is about, the lines seemed to write themselves. Please if it makes sense, tell me your interpretation. Thanks!

Ignoring You

In the bleakness of our pain

The days grow long our lives our vain

We carry on into time

We tell a tale of a hopeless rhyme

With no where to run, no where to hide

We glide through life, like a roller coaster ride

Up and down and all around

Not knowing what we have truly found

Staring us in the face

We keep up our common pace

Ignoring our heart and following our brain

Keep on driving in the fast lane

Never stopping to look into your eyes

Swatting you away like some dirty flies

Barring you in our deep, dark closet

Throwing away the key to the locket

We’re always to busy, saying you can wait

But one day we’ll know that was a mistake

Down the road when we’re all alone

Knowing we’re missing a part of out milestone

We’ll finally look back, and take a look

Realizing we were a crook

We left behind what mattered most

It faded away like a ghost

In the end it’s all true

This we can not undo

We briskly threw you away

Going on with our busy day
