What Happens When Time Stops

We can never turn back the pages of time, though we may wish to relive a happy moment, or say goodbye just one last time, we never can, because the sands of time continue to fall, and we can't turn the hourglass over.

There always seem to be that moment from the past

You wish to relive, do-over

You can’t stop thinking about how things could be different

Until that moment consumes you.

That’s what happens when time stops

You get stuck in a moment

And so caught up in the past

Wishing, hoping, praying that you could turn back time

That’s what happens when you forget to look ahead to the future.

You walk along, in a daze

Telling yourself that you can change what happened

Afraid to admit you’re just wasting your time

You bend, until that moment breaks you

On your knees, you can’t take the painful reality

But you know it’s time

To stop living in the past

That’s what happens when you realize time doesn’t wait for you.

Time keeps moving forward,

And life goes on.

The past isn’t coming back.

But the future’s bright

For those choose who face it.

Everyone has a moment in their life they would gladly do-over, but if they could see what the future would be like, how thier lives would be changed, would they? If it took me on a different course, if it would mean never meeting you or the other P2P people - if it meant never meeting Dom, I wouldn't change a thing. Time doesn't stop, Time won't be a merciful soul to give us another chance, but we can make it for ourselves.

This is a very good poem - I was right about you in our homestay :)
