I feel him.

His touch lingers on my skin months after.

It moves me like a Curse.

You see now, don't you?

Never may the gentle kiss of love fall from my lips upon yours.

I can not love any other.

Blackened petals on frozen roses

A poem written by an amatuer hand, so innocent

I cast to the side of the street.

I can not rid myself of his memory.

So you may not dwell in my heart now or ever.

Though I know how much you long to.

Whispers of love

You sing to my ear in the middle of the dark

But alas, to no avail.

My heart is not yours to take

Nor is your heart mine to take advantage of.

So now I must say goodbye.
