This poem was written in a raw moment of grief and confusion. It needs work, refinement, but it carries with it the event that is drawing these tears to my eyes.

The twilight memories quickly sink
Below the depths of my confusion
Moments I found full of promising blossoms
Now reveal to be hopless weeds

That percieved allignment of emotion fades
To nothing more then fallen stars
A second of incomparable beauty, yes
And then nothing more to brighten the night

From out of my out-of-character patience
And obvoius expressions of love
Show me that there is still an ending to be written
That the truth quietly whispered, is not the truth at all.

The dove's song dies within my broken spirit
Only a howling echo of the cold wind serenades
Wasted hopes and percieved quickened beats
Do not let their fury rage a war against my heart
