This poem is about......well, i don't know really. I was in dance class when i wrote this, and i barely knew what i was writing. it just came to be. it deals with death and losing yourself mentally and emotionally. so maybe anyone who reads this can help me in finding the meaning to this poem.

Still; she rises into theblack skies

letting each powerful star admire her beauty on the way.

Shining powerful and bright,

like the north star on a dark, cold, winter night.......

That cold winter night where everything went down.

The blood, the gunshots, the anger, the lies.

Tears streaming down the cold empty hearted face,

blood in her eyes, ice in the veins.

All that on the cold winter night.

She kept on reaching higher into the black skies.

and when that cold winter night occurred....

she fell and wept and mourned and cried.

The gang, the blood, the tears, the anger.

The lives lost, including her own.

Not herself anymore and never will be.

After that night............

she tried again,

to reach for the black skies; to touch the moon,

But she couldn't, she fell, back into that cold night.

"Don't tell her to reach for the stars,

if there's no footprints on the moon."
