War and peace

As the war starts peace ends ,
Lives lost at battles,
Army men in the trenches,
As they wait and wait ,
As time drags on ,
The bombs explode,
Shells are fired,
Gas is smelt,
Guns blazing fires starting,
Men waiting for the signal,
To go over the top ,
As they enter No mans land,
grenades are fired,

Troops shout to each other ,
As they make their move,
To try and eliminate the enemy,
As time begins to fly ,
The night gets colder,
By and by the army go ,
Into a territory ,
They hardly know ,
Planes are heard overhead,
So the soldiers cry,'Lads get down enemies above'
Fires are still burning ,
Lives are getting lost,
The death toll rises ,
As the day arrives,
Soldiers know what is ahead,
The enemy territory has been won,
Soldiers cry out 'victory'
War has been own
Soldiers time to go home

Army wagons take them from the war field and trenches ,
they cheer with happiness ,
As the war has been won ,
The enemy has been over ran
They celebrate all night ,
As families are reunited,
Smiles for all to see,
Days grow happy when they think of victory,

Peace has finally been seen ,
War is now no more ,
War is over and done ,
Peace is now in place,
Time to return home ,
After 6 years of war,
Peace has begun ,

Time has been spent ,
Lives have been lost,
The survivors return home ,
The hospitals are full of the injured,
Husbands return to their wives ,
Children see their fathers ,
For the first time,
Enemy planes are no more ,
Enemy territories have been taken ,
People cheer happily ,
For the returning soldiers ,
Loved ones cry with happiness,
To see their family return to them ,
Smiles of happiness on faces of parents,
Happy faces of children,
Hugs and kisses are shared.

The troops have succeeded,
They went to war to win,
They return with pleased faces ,
Nights in the trenches are no more ,
Sleepless nights are no more,
Painful bodies are no more,
Corpses lie in on the war field,
They are remembered by the giving of flowers,
The love and sympathy for sons who were lost,
Graves are dug where they fell,
Tombstones stand in memory ,
Still remembered today the lives lost,
The front line damaged by enemy war fare,
War ships are no more ,
Memories of the great war still remain,
The unhappy war days are no more,
But happy troops walk around with families and friends,
Thinking of the years when war had commenced ,
When war was won by the opponents.
Awards given to the survivors ,
For bravery when war was declared.

Loved ones give applause to survivors,
Who have returned from war,
Medals given to the main soldiers for bravery,
Some lives were lost ,
Some were not lost,
Sympathy for other families with lost loved ones,
Missing troops were feared dead,
Soldiers still searching for the missing.
Survivors were returned home ,
Some soldiers pay their respects to fellow friends,
Parents grieve for their missing sons.
Brothers and sisters pray to God to find them,
War fare and the ammunition are now lost,
Forgotten as the weeks pass,
Remembered by thousands of people ,
Poppies are laid to remember those who died tragically died,
Names engraved on a cenotaph in memory of those who died,
For years to come they will remember the day war began.
They will remember the day when war ended,
As they lay in there graves ,
We remember their lives as soldiers who fought for queen and country.
The Flanders fields are covered with poppies and they represent victory,
Cannons fire into the clean air,
In loving memory of the soldiers whose lives were lost.
