Why are you this way?

Do you hate us that much?

Trying to keep us a prisoner in our own mind

What happened?

You wasn't like this before

You would take us out places

Laugh and joke with us.

Or maybe you were like this all along

We were just too young to see it

What ever happened to being Daddy's little girl?

I guess people change

Things will never be the same

Your little girl grew up now and its too late to change the clock

School dances, first boyfriends, prom?

Ha....all a faded memory now

Mama taught me everything she knew

The rest I had to learn on my own

The shadows of disappointment reigned all too many times

Waiting for you to change

Waiting on you to help me with guys

Wondering if you were gonna see me off to college

I.....just......gave......up

They say that a husband should be the model of the girl's father

If that's the case....i'm never gettting married
