A poem about my glasses...

Through the World of Vision

Dark pair of spectacles,
Resting upon the dinner table
Looking like a boldly painted building,
Poised with great structure and foundation

The thick round curves,
And the shimmering lens
You are like an open window,
A path to unlimited vision and imagination

The path which penetrates the dark star-lit sky,
Into the depths of space and furthest reaches of galaxies
The path that roams the spheric globe,
Beyond the scenic beauty of the seven wonders

You define every calculation of nature,
That’s been painted within the book of hymns
You are the key to a library full of books,
More than infinite souls could read

Stylish black spectacles of a kind,
Resting upon the sun-lit table,
You are of greatest importance
For when a window of clearer vision is opened,
A dull and unfocused world is left behind…
