The day we were decided
On paper, by the faceless

Our teeth became filed,
And our claws removed.
Our bodies scarred,
And our minds entrenched.
We became dogs,
Leashed and Obedient.
We wag our tails
And lick their feet.
We accept their words,
As truth and fact.
Our will became bent
To the establishment.

We yank at the chains
Yearning to be free.
A hangman’s noose,
Around each of our necks,
Tied to him and him alone.
We cannot bite
So we bark and howl
Till the Man puts us down.
