Two hundred soldiers standing guard high in the mountains of Afghanistan.

************************** The longing for home and family is ever present, but we do the best we can.

************************** Our enemy is elusive, and reluctant to  show his face.

************************** We hear stories of Al Qaeda, IED's and  RPG's, and if they strike, we won't know the time nor the place.

************************** All we can hope for is that every man  here remains vigilant, and never let's his  guard down.

************************** For through vigilance, and the grace of God, each of us will go home to our families, safe and sound.

**************************  Mother Nature is not cooperating. The cold and snow she deals us, has come as a surprise to some.

************************** With the unrelenting winter, we are cut off from the outside world, and much needed supplies have yet to come.

************************** We long for word from home. Attempting to keep in touch with reality, we wait in vain for our mail.

************************** All the while, we fight boredom, complacency,  and homesickness, in what seems like an earthly hell.

************************** Two hundred soldiers standing guard  high in the mountains of Afghanistan.

************************** Time is testing us, and soon, we will know the measure of every man.
