Wolves are howling from the nearby hills

And there are red eyes blinking from every tree,

Shadows are forming spiny fingers

And they’re reaching out for me.

A headless horseman just rode past

And then I heard a woman scream!

I wish that I were somewhere else

On this Blue-Moon Halloween.

There are wailing sounds from the graves

And blood from a fountain that always dry.

The full moon looks like it has cracked

In an ever changing, black cloud, sky.

There are Phantoms on the gravestones

Drinking bubbling Slurpee's, putrid green.

I wish that I were somewhere else

On this Blue-Moon Halloween.

Some Ghouls are eating brains on pizza

While skeletons are dancing ‘round,

Flying spirits zip through walls

And then they dive into the ground!

All I wanted was a shortcut home,

I did not need this morbid scene.

I’ll never come this way again

On such a Blue-Moon Halloween.
