To December

by, Daniel Pi

Swept away by the frigid white wind.

Red as the holly under my windowsill

Struggling,

Straining,

Sliding,

Snow shifting beneath my icey toes.

Finally!

Scuffing off dirt and ice; The wind blows

Through the crack in the door, before

It closes and heat warms the core.

Comforting...

Yet cookies and cocoa change the image;

The house is a bondage

Of seasons' greetings.

Never age

A homage
