A WOMAN WANTS TO GET OFF THE RING HER EX LOVER GAVE HER.

\"\"

You want to get
Off the ring he
Gave, the small bright

Diamond shines
As you move it
Round, trying to

Ease it off the
Skin, but it won’t
Budge, it’s stuck still

Beneath the fine
Finger’s knuckle,
The pain of you

Pulling has made
It red. Leave it
There instead part

Of you insists, but
No, you want no
Part of him or

His given gifts
Anywhere near
Your flesh longer

Than you need, you
Push and pull, you
Nearly make it

Bleed, the knuckle
Will not allow
The ring to go.

You bathe it in
Some washing up
Liquid, oil it

In and twist the
Ring around and

Round and all the

Time the small bright
Diamond shines
Away. You pause

And leave the ring
And ring finger
Be. The pinkie

Skin once pinched and
Thin is swollen
Now, the knuckle

Red, the small ring
Remains like a
Dull bruise, like some

Deadly poison
There darkly stains.
