self explanatory

I hate the part, I hate the play.

I wish I could close the curtains.

The script is outdated, the words are dull.

The pages are mostly pictures and scribble.

I didn’t want a role, but I have the lead.

There’s no rehearsal, no time for play.

Every fond moment is dull and gray.

The crowd is rough and no one cheers,

Even your best attempt has no reward.

If I mess up I’m trapped in seclusion,

This play is a prison, and I want out.
