Rambles

I Love you.
I want to tell the world
About your smile
your eyes
your being.

Often you see poems,
about how there are flowers in you ribcage,
and cosmos in your blood.

And I've never understood,
until I felt your lips on mine
and your hand
on the small of my back.

I felt the world come crahing down,
and I felt myself break through.
I felt flowers bloom in my ribs, and the stars flow in my blood.
And I saw your face light up.

I watched your eyes reveal the skies,
and as you held me close I knew both our storms were calm.
And in that moment I knew
that it's so much more than poetry can explain.
