Just a quick poem I wrote from an idea I had. Enjoy.

Finding excuses not to go bed

Finding ways to hide the thoughts that walk through my head

I can feel each one say “Hey think about me!”

And each time it’s harder to push them back and set my mind free

One stumbles in and catches my attention

And my world ignites with tension

Why you? Why Now?

This is something my brain shouldn’t allow

I locked you up behind a wall

The thought of you is something my mind should appall

I get up I have to be sure

It’s hard to concentrate being so impure

I peek through the space I so wittingly drilled

And there you are, still stuck in the pose of the day your life was spilled.
