Do you find yourself awaiting…
That which you do not understand
Like Death,
Inevitable yet dumbfounding?
Of course not.
Naivete dwells within you
like the blood in your veins
But save you it will not
From the wrath of the heartless
The souls dark like the night
Quick as the blink
Of your beautiful lashes.
I lick my lips in anticipation.
I will whisper into your mind.
Tonight…
Before the day of light arrives
Yet after your saviour sun sets
I will be near you,
Beside you,
Behind you,
Inside you.
Your innocent unsuspecting soul
Oblivious will be
To my malicious intent.
Your eyes set on nothing
As you stagger about
In your altered state of inebriation.
Empty is your soul
Black is my heart
Red are your tears
Silence surrounds you
Love has abandoned you
Evil will embrace you
Close your eyes
I am here.
My movements are silent
The trees scream in fear
The dry leaves rustle at my approach
My claws caress your skin
My cold lips kiss your face
The last breeze carries the day with it
The sun sets;hiding
And still into nothing you stare.
Ahhh, the simplicity
Of my attack.
I know you can feel me,
My presence,
Its overbearing.
Stop,think,smell,feel,see
Take a deep breath
I have scented the air around you,
Beautifully,
Of flowers.
If you look beside you
You will find me
Staring into your soul
Grinning like a beast
At its prey.
My hand on your back
Is now the hand that grasps your hair
My hand on your lap
Is now the hand at your throat
Your lips are so sweet
On my forked tongue;
They’re so soft,
So warm,
So human.
Your scratching does nothing
But excite me
An erotic chaotic mass
I become.
The look in your eyes
Makes me fall in love
With what I do.
Just a little tighter…
Your air is running out
I can feel it.
Silence surrounds you once more.
You are beautiful in color.
Your heart still beats
Slowly, irregularly.
It is hardly a thump
Against your chest.
Your breathing finally ceases…
Alas, my gratification.
And I am detrimental to the touch,
As I did smile at your misfortunes!
We are one, my friend.
A greater gift
Does not exist.
Hold my hand
Be at peace
And wait
To be complete once more.
Fulfill our outmost desires
In the cover of night
As the next set
Of footsteps approach.
I grin in excitement.
