Words only hurt when
Distance is close
And they meet in the air
We breathe
And when silence whispers
The words are tangled
And their cages get locked in
A rosy wine chapped mess
They dance in mud
And the hot red blood
Burns and destroys
All reason
And when we tango to talk
And stumble to walk
Right now is all there is
Tomorrow does not exist
And when we don’t seem to care
It is time to prepare
Another excuse
To pardon our way
Out of this one
Words only hurt when
The actions don’t match
And the lies unfold
Before they’re even told
