Surviving an abusive realtionship,
thinking you have to take the beatings, the name calling,
But soon finding your voice and standing up for yourself.

I Survived

I survived

The criticism

I’ve survived the lies.

I survived

The hell you put me through

When I wasn’t suppose to.

You thought you could silence me forever

You were foolish enough

To believe you could,

But only to your disappoint

I survived.

I survived

The manipulation

I survived.

I’ve risen from the ashes

As the Phoenix that I am.

Take your last glance,

Because you’ll never hold me captive again,

Because I survived.

I survived

When I thought I would not make it

And you had me beat

As I seen the evil in your eyes

I knew right then I had to fight.

I had to fight for survival

I could not let you get me down,

I had to fight to stay alive

I HAVE SURVIVED.

Its sad when someone has to go through this type of abuse any abuse for that matter. But when you say you survived that means alot.

Stand up and instead of just beening beat down.
