Don't walk - don't fall - don't take the time
Just run and run - don't think.
You saw the thing begin to crawl
Beneath the molded sink.

You saw its eyes, those marbled orbs,
Blink once before it hissed
Through grimaced lips, the ones that rip,
As blood pools down in drips.

Out from the sink, that darkening hole,
From where you saw it hunched,
It crawls, it slides, it slips along;
It wants your bones to crunch.

It slides its hand on down your foot
And smells your sweaty skin.
It's tounge is forked, its teeth are short,
But sharp line jagged pins.

It sings at night - along it goes,
Still living down beneath
The sink and pipes, those endless nights,
Waiting with its teeth.

More will come, and this it knows,
More kids and frightened things,
To be dragged down into the bones
And hair balled up like string.
