Running.  Running, always running.

Hiding.  Must hide, must not be seen.

Duck and weave between the trees, stop and wait.

See if they’re passed and gone.

Gone? Good.

Let’s run some more.

They’ve seen us.  Can’t stay here.

Run, must run.

Running, running, must go faster.

Can’t hide.  No point.

Just run.

Run and pray.

Running, but tired now.

Want to stop, but can’t.

Will die if legs stop moving.

It’s closer now.

Do you want to die?

RUN.

Limping, crawling, laying.

Motionless.

Can’t move, don’t want to move anymore.

There’s no point when blood is spilled.

Can’t move, don’t want to move.

Just let us die.

Numb.  Cold, very unfeeling.

Still hurts, but numb.

Can stand now, but should we?

What’s the point when we’ll fall again,

Hurt again more so?

Why should we get up?

What’s the point of trying to live

Amidst this hurt and ache?

I’ve nothing more to live for

So why must I survive?

It hurts…
