This isn’t how it was meant to be, was it my dear?

When the skies have faded to black,

And you promised me you’d wait for me.

Have I lost you forever?

Where are you, my dear?

Are you safe up there, in the contrast world?

Or are you even down below?

In the pitch black cave, full of enduring pain and deceit.

Can you still hear me, my dear?

Are you out there all alone, with no-one to hold you?

If you can see me, give me a sign.

For my days have turned to night, and the insomnia never leaves.

Was it my fault, my dear?

Did my white lies turn into something more compelling?

I hope absolution is always in your heart.

The organ of beauty, it cries red with treachery.

Will you forgive me, my dear?

Though you wouldn’t want this for me,

I cannot live in this world alone.

For there’s a gun to my head, and vibrant red is stained in this paper.

I will be with you shortly, my dear.
