Okay, so this poem I did in my English 20-1 class.
It's called a Vocal Masque. It's where you take random quotes from random things, and nip and tuck it until it becomes art.
So, here's my poem, guess what it's about.
Fair Regent of the Night
by Dannika Black
I am calm, as one always is when one's conscience is clear. (1)
I drift away to a place, another kind of life. (2)
Of shimmering leaves and shadows (3)
And wildest hearts. (4)
Just hearing her voice comforts me. (5)
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike (6)
Such Hymns of Honor cannot tell us. (7)
Between the Heavens and the Earth (8)
Companionless among the stars that have a different birth.(9)
The Sergeant sleeps poorly in darkness. (10)
Just like watery ink on paper (11)
Weep thy sad lament (12)
The darkness drops again; but now I know (13)
No one, absolutely no one, can hear her in the deafening night. (14)
At last I understand the true nature of her light. (15)
Soon as the evening shade prevail, the moon takes up the wondrous tale.(16)
Not marble nor gilded monuments (17)
And thy eternal summer shall not fade. (18)
For they are powerful agents of justice (19)
Her sorrow which brought tears to my eyes. (20)
And all hail their Queen, fair regent of the night. (21)
