This is the first thing I ever wrote, it's an introverts happy dream of being alone and an extroverts fear of it.

Introverts View
He pictures an Island
Serene and still
Hardly a ripple on the surface

His own sanctuary; silent
He hears the sympathetic symphony
Slowly, he forever lets go

The rain hesitates before descending
As the last rays go dim
His mind is made clear

Two tears trickle unquestionably
The realization of a true home
The eyes close. Life begins. The story ends

Extroverts View
He dreams a desert
A muffled scream
His all too real hell

Stumbling blindly, he gropes for answers
Horror dawns that is was never real
He shakes with dread of frozen time

The Silence is deafening loud, mocking and cursing
He pleads in unheard agony
The only voice instilling madness

Weighed down, he is broken
Before shattering, he mutely protests
Then is swept away by sand

omgoodness i feel just awful i just wrote a comment that had nothing to say about the contents of the poem, geez, how self centered am i? it was an interesting ocncept, great visualazation, you probably could have turned it into more of a poem-ish poem, or could have made it so one line was intoverted and the next extroverted, etc. etc. but whatever way you choose to do it, it was a good poem, with a brilliant concept.

Haha your fine, you don't even have to talk about the poem if you don't want to lol. And yeah, that was one of the first things I wrote, i hadn't even attempted making things rhyme yet. I've always been interested in the idea of comparing and contrasting the two, because I'm an introvert and extroverts are so much different than I am.
