We Dance On Strings
"Give me your love, for I dance on strings."
Koukla said with a jump and a grin
"And am I not truly the delight of all things."
Yet inside Koukla feels he can't win
Koukla was a puppet, with skin and eyes brown
And he danced for children quite small
But each day he returned offstage with a frown
And curled up and wept in a ball
Koukla's friend Sofia would sigh and draw near
Assuring the lad he would soon get his wish
"You shall soon begin, so please have no fear!"
Then she'd end his tears with a kiss
Koukla was troubled, and rightfully so
For once a voice spoke to him from high
"The time draws close, my love on low."
Koukla closed his eyes and uttered a sigh
Sofia questioned Koukla about this speech
But he refused and said nothing at all
Sofia would whisper, skin fair as a peach
"If only you could see how far you'll fall."
Koukla was to set out and search foreign lands
For Skopos, a man hard to find
Skopos they called the hand of all hands
He held Koukla's strings and his mind
"I will send help to guide you on the long path ahead."
Skopos said softly to Koukla from above
"For to find some some men will left for dead."
"But you will persevere, for it is you that I love."
Koukla looked up and asked of the voice
"Who shall you send with me on this quest?"
Skopos decided to give him a choice
"It is you that must choose who is best."
"To begin on this journey, you shall choose two."
Koukla considered and then quickly spoke
"Sofia, for she has always helped carry me through."
Yet who was the other who'd help carry his yoke?
Finally, he decided, and he spoke to the sky
"Gnosi, for he will help guide my way."
Gnosi was a man who'd seldom lie
And he believed in himself on this day

Very interesting! Koukla chooses who he wishes to take with him on his quest, as we all choose who to include in our lifes journey. The names are really unique as well, I like this alot, can't wait to read the next part!
