The greatest strength is to be ready for death

Unafraid and welcoming its visit

Accepting that it must and will come

To all of us.

With open arms, we should embrace our end

The one who does this lives without fear

Does not tremble at the thought of an infinity without existence

Is grateful for the moment, the spark in time where life happened

Appreciates this life, loves like it won’t last forever

Like a child enjoying the merry go round at the carnival that comes to town once a year

That it must end makes it all come alive

Because then we understand that we must give it all while we can before it comes

And in that moment is no pain of argument

Just peaceful acceptance, that no matter what came before

Now we must go.

Extinguished like the candle light suddenly blown out. Soft. Silent.
