The Candlelight never fades...

The Candlelight Never Fades...

From here to there, stands a wall.
Agelessly enduring, it never falls.

A Candle is lit on the Other Side

While a call of Distress is sent far and wide.

On the Wall, a Shadow is cast.
By the Candle, a stark contrast.
The hands of Humanity stretch out to reach

For the Light, to pray and to beseech.

Upon contact, they pass straight through.
Swift and Sure, Straight and True.

Yet then coveted by gossamer strands

Of Inky Night on Snowy Hands.

As Sightless eyes cannot discern
Candlelight's path from Evil's turn,

A web of shimmering grey is all

That seems to answer a desperate Call.

Silently smothered by a Storm cloud's haze,
Wandering amidst a heartless maze.

Seeing a Candle beyond a gauze

Of Misty Mirages, one Lost Cause

When Black and White are Shades of Grey,
None shall ever find their way.

Wandering forever a world of Dusk,

Searching for Beauty within a Flowered Husk.

Though the Dream Reality forbade,
In Eternity, the Candlelight Never Fades...
