I guess it could be a short story in a way, but it could be a poem in another. Beware of not the piper, but the person who pays him. Any idiot can kill people. ha ha.

The shade of the forest,
A quiet and dismal grey,
Beautiful and deadly,
The piper did say,

Running through the forest,
I come along a path,
Dark and solem,
Spiders and cobwebs it has,

Unable to determine,
What choice I should make,
A raven flies over me,
Just for my sake,

Follow the raven,
The black angel said,
Do not turn back,
Or it will be your head,

What shall i do,
Where should i turn,
Will I be the next victim,
Or will it be he who burns,

Will I face him,
And become another rat in his little game,
Or will i be the only one,
He did not tame,

I will turn back,
And become another victim on his plate,
I mean why not,
It's better than these false dreams I try to animate
