Love lasts forever...

Two hearts yearning,
Two souls longing,
To be together,
But my heart is ignored,
Our love covered up,
We cannot be together,
For I am promised to another.
What? To flee to the hills?
So we may honour our love?
But my father disapproves,
Of you and me.
 Come to my chamber,
Lie in by bed,
Wait for me there,
I won’t be long.
In my room,
The murder occurs,
Hidden in the darkness
Of my curtains.
In I sweep,
In my silken gown,
Only to find my love,
Killed by my lover.

The dagger stained,
By our blood,
With the love we made
Lost forever.
The blood in a pool,
Around the bed,
The murder in my chamber,
Was a mystery.
The hilt of the dagger,
Studded with rubies,
Twisted in my grasp,
As it poised above my heart.
A life without love,
Is one that should end,
Many years I have waited,
For true love
But alas the day,
That two lives ended,
My soul was destroyed,
With that of my love’s.
The dagger went true,
It plunged into my breast,
So I may be with,
My Forbidden Love forever.
