These thoughts I've tried to hide,

But this can't be denied.

I never thought you would to this to me,

I guess now it's time I see.

I know the truth but cannot ask,

And the pain I feel I cannot mask.

It must have been easy to do it,

I guess I was wrong to think you could commit.

Whatever happened to your tender heart,

I'll swallow my pain, as I'm slowly torn apart.

I thought you were true,

But you did all this and I never knew.

As I ask and you reply,

I'm just swimming through the pain of another lie.

The empty flame on this broken candle is about to go out,

Because it's you I cannot live without.

I hate to admit that I couldn't leave you if you told me,

I could only pray that someday you would see,

The pain you put me through,

Maybe then you'd see it from a different point of view.

Until then I'm left with a bleeding heart,

But was I broken from the start?

Can you see me waiting oh so lonely?

I just wish I was your one and only.
