Your modest elegance is outshone by the pain.
Such beauty, a warm heart, tossed away.
You strive for acceptance, going insane.

You have got nothing to lose and the whole world to gain.
Through every hardship and every tear, I promise, I will stay.
Your modest elegance is outshone by the pain.

Evil words of others, engulfing your brain.
In the cold embrace of darkness, you lay.
You strive for acceptance, going insane.

You are weary, weary from the strain.
I am by your side, every night and every day.
Your modest elegance is outshone by the pain.

The world has you held by a chain.
I will carry you out and away.
You strive for acceptance, going insane.

You wish to stop the tyrannous reign
I pray you see what you are worth, someday.
Your modest elegance is outshone by the pain.

You strive for acceptance, going insane.
