I wish I could have said this to someone.

There are many things I could have said.
But not once did I try.
There were many things that should have been done.
And all I did was lie.
Smitten by your everlasting grace,
I knew I was hooked.
Offering a sensation that is something like a commotion that unravels from endless flirtation,
You have captured me with your sweet design that has withstood time as I wait for you to be mine.
But I never tried once
To follow that brown escape that came from the unwinding depths of your eyes.
And not once could I deny
The everlasting strength that comes from the free-flowing air that is the numbing touches of your hair.
Can’t stand to think of how I lost you
And the fact I couldn’t try.
Hurts me to this very day
That I let us die.
Should have moved long before.
Before you could have showed me the door.
Something I never said was the way I felt
Or the way you make me feel
Is this strange ghost that makes me believe
You are the real deal.
But I will never know,
For you are gone.
And it is all on me
That we are done.
