I've listed it under poetry, but I think it sounds more like the lyrics of a song....
It's about how I think that there some things in this world that just don't seem right

I’m searching amongst the wishful stars
For the path I’m meant to take
For didn’t someone say that Life
Drew a map amongst the stars?
That lead those who paid attention
To the place where they belong?
Isn’t the race of man supposed to be wise?
We can find revolutions in triviality
Yet, do nothing to help our fellow civilisation?
Would we ignore such atrocities
Simply because they were born into such?
I’m standing alone and high
On the mountain tops here
Searching
For the one they call “God”
The one being that created all
The good
The bad
The ugly
Yet I see none
Did he even exist to begin with?
Is the belief of one a simple lie?
Or is he hidden?
Hiding from the injustice he has created?

[chorus]

[Running]
From the fate that I can never escape
From the injustice that falls unto all
[Screaming]
Until my lungs collapse
Until my voice is heard
[Wishing]
For a world that is equal
For a smile on every face
[Holding]
Onto a simple dream
Onto a legacy one man can achieve
[Falling]
Into the depths of the defeat
Into a wasteland of shattered dreams

As I realise that it’s all make believe, not a single lil word will ever be true

What gives the Creator the right to hide from his creations?
What gives man the right to believe the injustice wrought, was not their own downfall?
To have them point a blameful finger
To an imaginary entity
To which they thrush upon blame
Why is so little being done to make things fair?
You may argue life isn’t fair
But why does that mean living is?
We fight in a land far away against a “threat” that could occur
Yet so many die because they have not got enough
Of anything
It’s war
Poverty in the tattered heap in the left corner
Terrorism on the right hand side of priority.
With governments that aim not to lead their country a better place
But to lead the pockets of the country’s residents to their own
They all agree to disagree on their own “manifestos”
Opinions of how they believe the country to be run
Yet what about the country?
They get a slip of paper
For crosses
How is it right, that the people who lead our country
Try and woo us to their positive cause
Yet have money enough to build houses for those who need it?
If they believed so strongly for their own cause
Why do they do not give straight answers for us to hear
Instead of basically having the question unanswered?

[chorus]

[Running]
From the fate that I can never escape
From the injustice that falls unto all
[Screaming]
Until my lungs collapse
Until my voice is heard
[Wishing]
For a world that is equal
For a smile on every face
[Holding]
Onto a simple dream
Onto a legacy one man can achieve
[Falling]
Into the depths of the defeat
Into a wasteland of shattered dreams

As I realise that it’s all make believe, not a single lil word will ever be true

[chorus]

[Running]
From the fate that I can never escape
From the injustice that falls unto all
[Screaming]
Until my lungs collapse
Until my voice is heard
[Wishing]
For a world that is equal
For a smile on every face
[Holding]
Onto a simple dream
Onto a legacy one man can achieve
[Falling]
Into the depths of the defeat
Into a wasteland of shattered dreams

Intelligent beings we are said to be
Intelligent beings there are said to be
We are said to have 5 senses
The ability to see
The ability to Hear
The ability to smell
The ability to taste
The ability to feel

So why are mankind so blind to the suffering and injustice?
Why are mankind deaf to the voices of the true? To cries of the needy?
Unable to smell the decaying flesh of humanity? The burning as the world is dragged to hell?
Indifferent to the bitterness of an unfair world, the lies on the tip of their tongue?
Numb to the pain of a broken world? To the pain, as ignorance and corruption burns?

Alone we may only live once
But there is are generations that will follow
Everything we do affects them
Is this how civilisations will end?
Through the greed of the very makers of it’s foundations?
