Little ball of fur...

How annoying I found you to be.

You'd scratch, tickle, and bite at me.

I'd ignore, hide, and even yell at you...

But never daunted,

You would return.

You'd make it through.

When I thought I had found peace,

by locking you in,

Dreadful wailing, screaching,

and sobbing would begin.

You chewed up my stuff,

You've knocked over my things.

You're batting my pen, even now,

As I write this thing!

One day I'd had enough.

I left without a word,

I grabbed my stuff.

When I returned,

Ready to deal with you anew,

Fallin' down the heater vent were you...

...But, Little Ball of Fur...

I love you.

I will cherish you forever.

Because you're my ball of fur.

No one else's.

Not ever.
