Normal

How I long to be that

But I am only me

Never smart

Never pretty

Never special

Just there

Strange that it matters

But it does

Freak

I hear them say

Some whisper

So that the word barely reaches me

Like a feather it falls onto my skin

Some scream

And the word is a dagger

Ripping throught the flesh

Leaving a gaping hole in my soul

Fear runs through me

Can others smell my fear

Does it motivate them

Like blood in the water

They are the sharks

And it is feeding time

So I try to escape

But I cannot swim and I slip beneath the waves

Lost to the world

Plummeting into darkness

Unable to breath

The pain in my soul is intense

I struggle but it is useless

I am useless

Powerless

And the world will claim me

I will fall victim to its madness

Freak

It is only a matter of time

Til the nightmare is forever
