Five shots ring out through the shooting range and Hajii turns to face me, removing his ear protectors.
'You made the deal.' He says, holstering his pistol with slow deliberation.
'You went behind my back, and you let Kazor go. We're Police Officers, Aki. We're supposed to arrest criminals.'
'He has intelligence about Ashura's organisation, Haaji. The information that he gave us will get us closer to finally bringing him down.'
'And what about justice? Kazor's a convicted criminal. We're not providing much of a deterrent to others like him.'
'It's not a perfect galaxy. Kazor will make another mistake, and we'll get him later. I'm not going to apologise for what I did.'
'I'm not blaming you, Aki. I just hate that there's no better way.'
'I don't like it anymore than you do, but this is the lesser of two evils.'
'Yeah. Let's go and get a drink.'
