I hope you know
I'm mutilated from love's bow
Every moment we conflicted
Only ever inflicted
Pain and agony within me
Which no one could see.
But now I can see crystal clear
I look back on it like a seer
Wishing that back then I knew
That my love for you only grew
And yours began to fall apart
Taking us back to the start.
Afterwards it was like we never met
As if the scene of our love was never set
But now it's present day
Where all the things you used to say
Seem to weigh me down
Forcing an unwelcome frown.
That's the reason for my malfunction
My inner deconstruction
That's the reason for my sorrow
Everyday I've wished it gone by tomorrow
Maybe soon my wish will come true
Allowing my love to once again brew
But this time for someone new.

I swear every time I read your poetry, I sit here thinking, "That's exactly how I feel!!!" This poem has emotions attached that express exactly how I feel about Frankie (I wrote about him in my bio/summary if you want to know who he is...). It's uncanny.
