Where ever I may go

A poem about how pain and sorrow is, in some circumstances, inescapable no matter how hard you try, how far you run, or how much you attempt to numb it.

Where ever I may go

My sorrow will always know

I can't run away

I'm a flower that can only sway

I must have a succulent scent

At first I didn't know what it meant

Until it soared down upon me

It's keen sting acting as a key

A new vulnerability was born

Contorting and leaving me torn

It's like a parasite and I'm it's host

Rendering me an unrelenting ghost.
